How it started
She always wanted to bake
Luna is thirty, and she has wanted this since she was nine — on a stool in her lola’s kitchen outside Manila, watching sweet dough get folded over and over until it turned glossy.
She took the long way. A business degree she didn’t want, two years behind a desk, and a rented oven she used at night. In 2019 she signed a lease on a storefront with a green door and started baking for herself.
She still opens the shop most mornings, and the coffee came later — she wanted something worth drinking next to the pastry.
“Twenty-one years I thought about this. Getting up at four is the easy part.”
